Pierre got some news via Lucio and wrote in Yahoo forum:

I saw Jerry Lee, Linda Gail and Frankie Ford in Naples. Jerry did the same old songs but the show seemed about 45 minutes and I think he was in better voice than I have seen in two years.
It was good to see him looking well and kicking back that piano stool with force while playing standing up. Everytime I think it's the end, he comes back.
Linda rocked the joint for 20 minutes with a super high energy show. The Memphis Beats backed her up. Security was tight and they did not even allow photos.
Got to see Frankie Ford for the first time. I think he is recovering from some kind of stroke or surgery but sounded good. Very different from some of his TV appearances from a couple of years ago but his wife told me that he is improving every day.

Pierre

Thanks to Lucio & Pierre.

Peter Hayman reporting via Yahoo messageboard;
Jerry Lee did great at Naples.Songs included,Down The Line,You Win Again,Before The Night Is Over,Drinkin Wine,Headstone,Rockin My Life Away,Beethoven,She Even Woke Me Up,GBF,Shakin'.Jerry looked great and sounded great and his piano playing was absolutely superb!Yes,it's always excellent,but this time he played "more".More backing piano (behind his singing and the guitars),more solos and also some "different" solos (such as on Headstone).We can learn more about piano playing on one song from Jerry (such as Headstone),than a whole concert by ANYONE else.In fact,I think I have read somewhere that 10 seconds of Jerry Lee Lewis playing piano is worth a whole concert by anyoneone else.I think I am inclined to agree.Jerry's piano playing is so special,so tasteful and musical-the quality just shines through.Other musicians respect him as being the "best".It might be possible for other entertainers to put on a lively,energetic and entertaining show and I do enjoy other piano playing entertainers too,but Jerry is in a class of his own.His piano playing can withstand scrutiny.This year is going to be a good one for Jerry.I haven't heard him sing or play better in recent memory.

The meatman was fabulous in Naples as was his sister. The next morning my wife had breakfast with Linda Gail and she had many "inside" stories. She said JLL had a really good time and especially liked the clutch and sound system. His version of Mexicali Rose was tops. Folks we sat next to came all the way from Jersey. He is a living legend.
