Unfortunately not and there are even worse examples…. The prestigious DeLaMar Theater in Amsterdam wrote in their announcement of the ‘Rockin’ On Heaven’s Door’ show: “Elvis Presley, Roy Orbison, Jerry Lee Lewis, Everly Brothers and Eddie Cochran. These stars have passed away, but their music lives on.”……

Needless to say the publicity department/manager received a “nice e-mail” from me in which I advised them to have someone who DOES know something about music and it’s performers write these announcements next time. I also told them Jerry had just performed in Amsterdam in November, had celebrated his 75th birthday in September, released his brandnew album ‘Mean Old Man’ that same month featuring famous guesstars like Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Ronnie Wood and Sheryl Crow and will be coming back to Holland in September this year. As a “bonus” I included the links to two Durant show clips (February 19th) on which Jerry looked very much alive…

Of course I also didn’t forget to tell them Phil and Don Everly had just celebrated their 72nd and 74th birthdays…

I urged the theater to correct this embarrassing blunder (which they did). Maybe someone can do the same in this case......

Jerry Lee Lewis

From what I've heard so far Dad played a pretty amazing show in Snoqualme!
Wish I had a set list to post or a review, but it's still early here so I'm waiting on some news!

Everyone going to Vegas this weekend have a great time celebrating! Get out to Dad's show for the best time of the weekend ;)

Keep on rockin!
Lee
